Cannonicly joan lambert the navigator is trans, but i dont think that annyone knows this since it is only shown through a medical file that was in some scene. I dont get why this has annything to do with the fact that people apperently ddont think rippley was a female lead since again most people dont know that about lambert.

Ooh, I thought it was Ripley who was trans. I know Ripley was originally supposed to be a male lead, so maybe those wires got crossed
