No man, sales people are far more important to the bottom line. Profits first, then working product in the future. It’s genius, no way that model could go wrong

The project manager keeps asking for an update every 15 minutes.
Not only do I feel this in my soul, I’ve been working for almost 13 years, and to this day, I’m still not sure what a project manager contributes.
The only thing I can tell is that their job is to be the designated impatient person.
Do you guys think that Zuck woke up one day and was like “yo guys, let’s collectively destroy society”
Yeah this was a good one to wake up to.
They wouldn’t want to use or derive any compromised software themselves. They would want any adversaries to have it implemented.
I haven’t looked at the keyboard drivers, or much Linux source. I never really had a reason to do a lot of C other than small microcontroller projects.
But I see this stuff and think of how awesome it must have felt to get a different keyboard working on an OS the first time. I have to do all this stuff with cloud, and api levels, and configuring CI/CD pipelines, and sometimes I get to write backend C# code or they let me play in the front end. Most of the time it’s telling another team of developers what to do, and listening to our clients explain the problems and I have to figure out if we already have anything to fulfill at least some of those needs.
These drivers are the divine marriage of hardware that’s not native to the machine that an OS is running on. It’s so beautiful to read. You can visualize where the values enter a memory address, and bits get shifted or something is static so the keyboard always uses the right thing.
I guess I was just disappointed we didn’t have Nosferatu flicking the lights and everyone sighing and responding with laughter: “Nosferatu!”
Oh good. I’m so glad to hear that.
I wouldn’t call him desperate, I would call him time constrained with money to enjoy. He probably won’t actually use it for that, he’ll probably dive into his video game addiction more.
Plus, he says that virtual ladies can’t betray him like the dumb fuck of his ex wife that pretty much ruined his self confidence and self esteem to the point where he doesn’t actually think he could experience the required vulnerability in other people ever again, and it’s been 5 years since the first time she cheated on him.
But he really does appreciate the concern.
The guy who is asking has some stuff in that department, he’s more interested in the visuals now
I’ve had my valve index for 5 years and never heard about bit rate affecting it - what am I looking for?
Someone who is not me wants to know how big of a difference would there be between like a 2070 super and a 4090 for some of that stuff?
They also want to know if there’s some more recent stuff they don’t know about yet.
That works too. It just needs to get caught in a single prop for it to go down
You know, there’s no reason we can’t have anti-drone fireworks.
They don’t really even need dangerous amounts of explosives, they just need a strong net to get caught in a prop.
Drones are pretty damn slow if you compare it to a rocket.
I’m so glad he pointed out the compiler optimizing the If statements. A lot of coworkers seem to forget that the compiler is doing a lot of that work for us now, and some of the code becomes unreadable as they try to make it “more efficient.”
Bro, stop, you can’t beat a machine at machine stuff
Yeah I’ve put 97 hours into PoE2… I am far from good…I put nearly 2k in PoE1 and I did fight all the non-uber bosses at some point.
