I don’t see the issue, since you rarely have to run a program by going to the location of the binary (AppImage and others excluded).

Didn’t have any btrfs problems yet, infact cow saved me a few times on my desktop.
The account requirement is insignificant compared to the mountain of other reasons not to use windows.
The wiki is great for those, who have some experience in Linux, not so for beginners.
I also recomend mint as a first distro and it’s the one I started with.
For gaming, most games I play run perfectly fine under steam’s proton.
