learn to code and you’ll forever more be going “i could probably fix this if i could be fucked to get familiar with the codebase”
exactly, if devs ignore issues that is to me just them telling the world that they don’t care about the project and we should encourage people to fork it and take over the mantle of de-facto version, or just let it die if it’s not important.
i’d nominate Ramanujan as the geniuses’ genius: he had basically no formal education on mathematics, and yet he solved problems that the rest of the world collectively couldn’t crack.
not sure i want strains of com in my gender
except that genetics isn’t that simple, there’s many many things that go into structuring your body. Even biological sex isn’t binary, there’s plenty of overlap. People can literally be born with both sets of genitals afaik.
“oops our software had a bug that made it return nonrandom values for a month”
yeah the docs (and help forum) is on discord! wait why are you stabbing yourself?
i mean syntax is part of it, but it can only help you so much. like no matter how you talk about mathematics, you have to somehow understand what multiplication is, but it certainly does help to write “5x3” rather than “5+5+5”
the :================D operator
i still do not see good evidence for this being actual slang people use seriously, it just looks like old video game ads where adults write scripts with what they think kids sound like, and then we look back and laugh at how stupid it is
tell his human what?
the point is just to have a way to tell releases apart, if every release is version 5 then you’re going to start self harming
“uhh i think my laptop’s brand is loss?”
“We are always hard at work making your experience better!”
This release note has of course been the same for the last 3 years
either have meaning to the number and do semantic versioning, or don’t bother and simply use dates or maybe simple increments
oral traditions have survived an astoundingly long time, albeit with some bitrot
pointers are just symlinks in programming
what do you mean by month picker? Like, you want a dialog specifically for picking a month and nothing else?
because there’s a perfectly fine date picker, including month selection
