This is exactly why I have a whiteboard in my bathroom for brilliant ideas, and toilet paper in conference rooms for when I wanna take a shit
I don’t really think effectively in meetings. In fact, having multiple meetings is the best way to ensure I don’t spend time looking at the problem.
I think brainstorming is specifically a group activity. When you do it alone, it’s just called “thinking”. The point of brainstorming is to bring in ideas you thought of individually to co-mingle with the ideas other people thought of individually.
Listen, some of you mfs don’t need a standing desk, you need a running desk, that gets up and runs the second your brain turns on autopilot.

Don’t brainstorm
Collect ideas as you think of them throughout your day. Then when you need to “brainstorm”, read through your ideas and references

Exactly, that’s why you write down ideas immediately, when you have them
I have obsidian set to dump new notes into an “Inbox” folder
If i have an idea, i jot it down in a new note (usually from my phone), and move on
Then i can later catalog it properly
