The burrito bowl I got for lunch today was a bit too spicy for me. Afterwards, my nose got very runny. It’s not the first time this happened, so I decided to look it up. Lo and behold, there is a term for this!

    That’s normal. So is getting a runny nose after eating spicy food or during exercise. People just want to feel special so they make up stuff like this.

      Which “people”? The scientists whose jobs are to study how our bodies work? Or the posters who learn something new and think, “People on Lemmy might like this to know this too”? Either way, sharing knowledge is what helps people learn that what they experience is normal.
