Is there a word for this kind of false flag operation?

The definition one is one party secretly doing something that looks like the other party did it therefore shifting blame on them.

But this sounds much more like creating an incompetent fake opponent to gaslight the legitimacy of a real accusation.

I feel like thats different but just as dangerous. I think i have heard of companies doing similar things. Pretend allegations of corruption that go to court. Which they win and then future allegations are dismissed as being the same case.

Under fire: Some corporations that make abortion pill filed a complained about their suspension and was since reinstated.

As a safe bet: Almost everything “advanced tech” on tv is unrealistic.

The tech is there to drive a fictional narrative. Not to document the historical setting. Things only need to resemble reality. Inspiration from old tech helps this realistic feeling.

I also assume there might be laws that restrict the details movie makers can show in context of law enforcement operations and government spying.

It works both ways.

Sometimes i hear a friend complaining about a game mechanics and i can chip in with a potential reason on why and how the perceived superior way may not be so easy to implement.

Other times you notice the game is dependent on windows specific media files that are NOT standard for windows depending in country, are not shipped with the game and will cause a very specific crash at a specific minor “tv starts playing” event which happens exactly once in the entire game… that is the first introduction mission.

The trick was playing coop and rejoining after the crash. Skipping the scene because my friend sat trough it.

Borderlands 3 ladies on gentlemen. Its not a bad game but that was just the first of many but lots of minor issues.

If these event thoughts me something its that people actually have no problem changing platforms and websites. Which i previously thought was the case. Its just seems unpredictable what actual sets a digital migration in motion and to where people will flock.

That they specifically went to another sketchy app is what gets me the most.

I could name tons of social network alternatives that are decentralized, give users control but for some reason those are sidelined as everyone suddenly wants an account on app they never heard off a few weeks ago and its main selling feature is that is at least as insecure and censored as tiktok…

Actually looking at the numbers xp and 8.1 retired within 2 years of eachother. And 10 first got retired in 2020 a year before win 11 was released to make way of windows as a service updates which is actually what is getting retired later this year.

I dont know path of exile in detail but being a top mmo player has always struck me of an archivement in dedication of time much more then inherent skill. The learned skill the pros have just comes natural with enough dedication.

Colourblindness knows many types, most can still see color. Some types even see more or shifted colors.

At least on paper it seems plausible to measure the colour detection cones per iris and then build a filter to strengthen color per eye for which detection is lacking.

The moment i realized they sold them without detailed personal eye scanning involved i knew they were a scam. Gimmick at best. Worst part is they seem catered to people as gifts for colorblind friends, thats just a way to obstruct people from analyzing them to much. What are they going to say? “I dont for a sec believe this overly saturated view is realistic and your gift sucks”? No, they will say “wauw thank you” and shove it in a drawer somewhere next day, never to mention them again.
