I know, sorry. I realized it wasn’t an issue on PC after the fact.
But the TV… It’s brutal, the amount of long, unskippable ads. It’s worse than on regular/linear television.

I mean, on PC I’m not really having much issue. I don’t fall for “recommendations”, and I run ublock origin in Firefox so I have zero ads. All good there. The TV is the worst though…
YOU’D THINK THAT YES. [caps intended]
Are those available on PC/Linux? On my TV? 😭 I have them on my phone but I feel like there’s too much hassle to do on my main viewing devices.
I keep getting recommendations for content like “this woke person got DESTROYED by logic” on YouTube. Even though I click “not interested”, and even “don’t recommend channel”, I keep getting the same channel, AND video recommendation(s). It’s pretty obvious bullshit.
I can’t quit Facebook, there’s so many people that I need to sell off my old shit to on Marketplace. 😫
pixelfed.social seems dead from where I am. Keep getting a 502 Bad gateway
.
Let’s get fed up!
Cool, thanks for the tips!
Probably intentional, yeah. 😔
You got any other brands of TV you could recommend?
Can confirm, I bought my LG OLED 65" in 2019 and… it’s a little slow (sluggish UI) but the display is still amazing. Great sound, too.
😂 what a tool
Exactly the type of response I was expecting lol.
Yes boy, please block me. Please do.
How would a lack of people using hardware toggles even make it worthless?
You misunderstood/I wasn’t clear. I was referring to the ease of which you can verify that the hardware does what it is supposed to do. If you can verify it easily, but don’t, the ease has no meaning.
So… Do you verify all/most of your hardware toggles? Personally?
And no, I don’t use software toggles. I don’t use any toggles on my phone, except Bluetooth to save battery. 🤷♂️ You guessed wrong. Maybe don’t be so smug about trying to “read” someone. It ends up being super cringe when it’s wrong. 🫣
Never mind, I guess? I ask the questions I’d like answers to. You seem to answer questions you’d like to be asked instead of the ones asked. Weird behavior.
I ask because the ease of which something can be done is worthless if nobody does it.
Question for you: Do you manually check every hardware toggle for correctness?
And a software toggle can be checked with some software knowledge if the source is available.
Not sure why someone would down vote this. I fully agree. Please someone explain why consumers shouldn’t be able to use an extension like this that is not-for-profit, e.g.
You really trust that the button does what it says it does though??!??
This screams anecdotal. I don’t find that this is true of next gen titles in general. Lots and lots of absolutely stunning, gorgeous games are available to play where not everything is brown, or otherwise difficult to see.
The concept of realistic graphics doesn’t necessarily have to equate to realism either. Hear me out. Games can look so gorgeous and realistic without having graphics that portray something that looks like this world in which we live. Alien worlds, unnatural colors, but still with light that behaves physically correct using advanced techniques.
I’m all for amazing graphics, and giving developers the tools they need to fulfill their visions. If it looks like garbage though, don’t buy the shit.
I know right. I wish more people used it. It’s nice and simple. No fuss in the way. And especially now with chat transfers. Should be Gucci.
