I was gonna say. Dude better go to the actual fediverse if he wants a reliable platform that wont be instantly taken down again.

PC Cases arent usually biodegradable if i recall correctly. What did you do to the poor thing?
4chan is surely filled with glowie experiments like this.
Yeah but that will not give you anything useful… Also Tiny11 is x86 only afaik.
Even this potato with 512MB of RAM runs a bunch of linux web services without issue.
Fairphones support it :) I actually tested this out earlier (the initial screen mirroring implementation that was added in android 15) and it worked well. USB hub functionality works too with mouse and keyboard being plugged into the screen.
You could always do both and fall back on external power when the battery dies. Thats how laptops often do it.
It would explain the constant barrage of system breaking bugs and RCE vulns

You’re right, it has been released, but matrix.org and most other servers either havent activated QR login or arent using MAS. It will be sick tho, the demos make it look very fast and smooth.
While matrix/element is still very much in development, it is improving constantly. A year ago i sometimes had issues with desynced encryption keys and now that never happens anymore. There is now a modern group call and screensharing system and the new ElementX mobile app which is much faster than the old app. Now there is also OIDC and in a few weeks QR code login will be released, so no more manually entering login and encryption key verification stuff.
Yeah, whenever two models interact or build on top of each other, the result becomes more and more distorted. They have already scraped close to 100% of the crawlable internet, so they dont know what to do now. Seems like they cant optimize much more or are simply too dumb to do it properly.
The power dynamic is still 1000000:1 they can do whatever they want and you will have to follow. If they defederate you, there is no value in your self hosted instance.
The biggest thing is that you need to be manually authorized by them for federation. They will only ever federate with servers that arent serious enough competition to lead to democratization of the overall network.
This is not about still images, its specifically about video where you use a fixed pixelation grid on a moving object. Using that level of pixelation works perfectly fine on a screenshot. But yes, better just black it out anyways.
Ah, i admit i didnt read it, because the headline and the implication of AI being an issue in academia wasnt exactly news to me.
Its the immediate takeaway i made from the headline, so i dont feel like its buried deep
They are the definition of move fast and break things. And they just keep breaking things while not even being that fast. But still there is nothing to replace it and the work they are doing is valuable.
Sounds like fun hobbies :) Money is worthless after you die so might aswell spend it on something you enjoy i guess.
Or P2P stuff like Briar :)
