I enjoyed this game apart from when your vault gets invaded. I found frantically trying to pluck your characters up to drag them round the vault far too fiddly and it made me quit in the end. Did they ever change that?

I spent a few years living in a developing country in Africa so I have some appreciation of what you’re going through. I used to find lots of technology shops on Google Maps, etc, then when I got there they just sold phone covers and SIM cards and knock-off iPhones.

I can’t really offer much advice but have you considered just making something based on a second hand laptop? A lot of them are still pretty powerful just with old batteries and they’re designed to run efficiently.

I always thought it’s kind of odd how frivolous we are with IPv6 addresses given the problems that gave us with IPv4. US DoD has like 200 million IPv4 addresses and they probably only use a tiny fraction of that. There’s also a bunch of old companies like HP, IBM, and Apple, that have entire /8s, so that’s 16 million IPs each. I know IPv6 is ridiculously bigger but we’re talking about giving IP addresses to our lightbulbs now at a time we’re also looking to inhabit other planets.

I find that the docs usually consist of a quick start guide covering some ultra tight scenario that doesn’t apply to most people, and reference material that’s just some total brain dump of every possible command without any kind of context.

I know about the themes but most of them look dated as well. I know I’m complaining about free software but it should look better out of the box. I know some people love customising but it shouldn’t be a requirement.

How does it look like Windows 10? It looks like Windows 2000.

I like GNOME but I think there’s essential functionality missing from it. Fortunately the extensions fill the gap.

Plasma’s growing on my and I think it definitely works better on a laptop but I just wish it looked like a modern operating system. It feels like something from the 00s at best.

Films used to be such a big deal, now I just watch a brand new one every night. Pre-internet is just end up watching the same films over and over just because I had a copy. Going to the cinema to watch a new one was exciting but now I don’t care.

Is everyone posting about Oblivion simply new to it? Seems weird to me that everyone’s so excited about it but it’s probably just because I played it to death the last time it came round.

I’m surprised they’re remastering this one when Morrowind seems to be remember more fondly. I was around when Oblivion came out the first time and it was good but not great, Skyrim seemed like an upgraded version of the same thing.

There’s already alternatives, why not just let them take over? Trump complained about the US giving up DNS, now he’s complaining about CVE. He wants to control everything but doesn’t want to pay for it.
