I use this site. Not all games work, though.
Another option is to use 1337x and search for jc141. They put either native linux game or sometimes have wine built-in their setups, but they require you to install a lot of prerequisites.
Another option is to use emulators like PCSX2 or RPCS3 to play other games with relatively less hassle.
For a moment I thought this was Bad Guys at School.
Okay, say that they have released an addon for Blender for modders. Because Blender is under the GNU GPL the addon they release has to be at the very least compatible with the GPL and therefor it should be Free Software. They wouldn’t care. I mean if people can make mods, and improve the addon, it will be easier for them themselves to use it to make assets and everybody benefits. Typical “open source” mindset. And guess what? They did exactly this. Their Blender Addon is under a GPL compatible license ( MIT ). So okay, they at least developed one Free Software thing.
But if you look into it more deeply you will find more interesting things. For example, there is a Free Software python API to drive a special variant of BeamNG called BeamNG Tech. Which is for professional use. Yeah, well… This python thing still requires the proprietary BeamNG tech to be installed. But still. Here is another technically Free Software thing that they developed.
Then if you look even deeper, you will notice that they switched a game engine sometime in the early days of the game. First they used Cry Engine. Which is very proprietary and probably very costly. And then they chose to use a Free Software game engine called Torque 3D instead.
So they are building the game with Free Software on a Free Software game engine for which they built Free Software tools. And yet the game is still proprietary. Even though, as I already said, it feels more like what a Free Software game feels, with community collaboration and an insane level of customize-ability.
Applying this theory means , almost every software that has ever existed is free and open source.
I have played Astro’s Playroom, and it is fun, especially the boss fights.
The f-droid team goes through the source code and builds the app themselves before publishing. I think it’s better to trust them. Obtanium is great, but only if the app is not on f-droid or f-droid is lagging behind updates.
That is not ideal, especially if you will be the only one using it. If you are using it alone, YouTube will still be able to profile you, as all the videos will be watched by a single server. It would be just like using YouTube.com with a VPN. If you are self-hosting and a few people will use it, YouTube won’t be able to profile everyone, as it will think all the videos are being watched by a single person.
You should try playing Vice City on a PS2 emulator. Connect your emulator with retroachievements.org and try to get all the achievements. If you can find a legit PS2 copy, it won’t be piracy.
I understand that they are pro-developers, like, they only tale 15% of the sales etc. But why are they anti-consumers?
I use Heroic Games Launcher on Nobara Linux and my experience is more seamless than buying and installing games from Steam. I don’t have to bother with Epic Games Launcher, I just download a game and run via proton or wine.
I thought I was the only one!
Sorry, someone already claimed it.
No, sorry. I JUST gave it away.
Not yet. DM me and I’ll send you the key.
Please DM.
Someone already asked for it, sorry.
I meant, I partitioned the drives, but could not complete the steps after that. I couldn’t use that tar file to compile the kernel.
I can agree that installing Arch is easier than installing a debloated Windows. But Gentoo? I spent 2 weeks trying to install it, but couldn’t get past partitioning the drive.
Are you enjoying this game? Do you think it is as good as the reviews?
Personally, I didn’t like the story or the gameplay that much, especially when compared to Uncharted 3, or even 1 and 2. The puzzles were so easy, and the game felt so repetitive. I would say more, but I do not wish to spoil it for you.
It’s a good game, just not as good as the ratings, in my opinion.
Which tablet do you have?
