  • Absolutely. My baseline is that I want everyone to be treated equally and with respect. I want everyone have the same protections from the government and everyone to be allowed to be and to love whoever they want.

Past that, it gets into minutia I just can’t get on board with and it’s hurting the left as a whole because people are trying to force language and thought policing on people, which I don’t like, it’s authoritarian, and I think it’s a losing strategy.

  • I always wondered what data does reddit actually have? Even if they had IPs and people posting, I’m John Smith, how exactly is Nintendo going to prove anything in a court of law? IP is not a person, and talking about shit online isn’t the same as doing it.

And most of all, are they going to sue and investigate 10,000 people?

I don’t get any of this fear mongering. I think this is all just aimed at shutting down communication channels, they aren’t going to go after individuals talking on the internet

  • When you make fun of something that really isn’t an issue it just makes your side look worse. Windows has real problems, but installing shit ain’t it.

My dad can install anything on windows with clicks, he can’t do shit with a terminal.

I’m a power user and love GUIs. I’ll use git desktop all day everyday, instead of typing shit in a command line. It’s one button press vs typing paths and hoping you don’t misspell shit.

I don’t really get the whole command line fetish, there are no extra points in life for doing things the harder way.
