i mean, i did that for you. but you ignore it, even now when insisting it never happened.

techdirt has been gold across multiple decades now. I’m really glad more people are starting to become aware of it!
my college buddy and startup cofounder had a pathetically slow old laptop. he asks me the other day, “should i buy an ipad pro?” i was dumbfounded. bro you don’t even have a proper computer. we went around a bunch and he kept trying to get really bad ones like a base model mac mini. finally i persuaded him to get a 16" M1 Pro for a grand (about 700 after his trade in) and he couldn’t be happier.
I’m still using my M1 MBP like 4 years later. Don’t even care to upgrade! these things are great value
it’s what we all called it in first grade. past that bot so much
i heard of it as kid on some cooking show on PBS in the 90s. I thought it was super weird, but my mom had heard of it. Except it was cheddar cheese, not american. I tried it and thought it was pretty good, so i bring it up when people talk about apple pie. it never fails to weird them out if they’ve never tried it!
to keep from arguing the opposite of what you think you are
yeah let’s build “ghost printers” wait are we in a cyberpunk dystopia?!
drugs of course. i thought everyone had heard of it already!
it’s not my position, but the book author’s. i doubt i could do a good job explaining it, as i haven’t gotten very far in to it.
sometimes people are curious, and just want to know that the information exists. that is me. I’m reading the book as a challenge for myself, because i disagree with the premise.
other times people i guess think that you could cover a complex topic like this in bite-sized spoon-fed internet comments and memes. i feel pity for those guys.
but why do you have those options? why wouldn’t you have had them in the past?
proof me! now!
feels like a very reddit interaction, this doesn’t belong on lemmy imo
check out the book if you want to learn more about it! Determined
I’m currently reading his book. i would suggest those who are skeptical of the claims to read it also. i would say i am very skeptical of the claims, but he makes some very interesting points.

i like to say “are you sure you even understand this? do you know what you’re doing or do i need to spell it out for you?!”
i use my thinking skills to tell the LLM to quit fucking up and try again or I’m gonna fire his ass
maybe a Sauron fan more like
having been in combat, with electronic gear designed for the military, i can say this will be a million percent terrible. it’s gonna be too heavy (already they carry too much- i have degenerated discs as do many of my buds) and will break constantly. to say nothing of keeping it charged- who wants range anxiety in a combat situation.
now i will say that going to Iraq radicalized me against war and i filed as a conscientious objector, but back in those days right after 9/11 there wasn’t much of an antiwar movement.
not really in that situation
well, you asked “why” to a different question and i was answering that. but if you understood my response, that would give you the context of why you got downvoted. it comes down to you arguing the opposite of what you think you are, because you didn’t read the article or understand the context of the comment. you ‘chose violence’ instead, for no reason.
