You’re so far off base it’s hilarious. A Stardew Valley 2 would be hype as hell.
In case you’re not aware, there are ways to increase your speed within the game which feel like earned progress.
Yes, I am using wallpaper engine. I followed the instructions on the plugin’s Github page.
I’ve been enjoying KDE Plasma, but do not have experience with any others so I could not really rank it. I went with KDE based on reading that it was at the forefront when it came to HDR support, and I could also get Wallpaper Engine working with it.
I haaaate typing on a laptop, layout not withstanding.
I’ve never regretted a GTA purchase (admittedly I didn’t get the remasters so that might be why…) so I’m cautiously looking forward to this one. Started up 5 again recently with the Enhanced version dropping on PC and man its still stupid fun.
Tried to install Mint on my laptop, wouldn’t work. Googled the issue, had to rename a file in the boot directory for some reason.
Tried again, wouldn’t work. Googled issue, had to turn off secure boot in bios.
Tried again, installed, okay now we’re cooking. Connected to WiFi, updated packages and drivers. All good, reboot. Install Steam. Login via QR code, it begins loading user data.
Loading… Loading… Loading… Okay it’s clearly stuck. How do I kill a process on Linux? Google it, okay that’s not too hard. Try launching Steam again, same thing. Google this issue, get a lot of different potential causes, involving delving into some obscure directories.
I consider myself technologically competent, more so than the average person/consumer. I am a lot of people in my social sphere’s “computer guy”. Way more than most people are not going to figure this stuff out for themselves.
I’m really sorry to say but Linux is still not ready for mainstream consumers and users if this is the experience of the most recommended stable distro for the average person.
Actual Budget has been awesome for my partner and me.
All of the data I actually care about is stored on a NAS and backed up in triplicate. The only data actually on my PC are program files.
An old take on what BitCraft Online is.
Neither I or the person I was replying to were talking about frame gen.
As for the latency, not in a way that I notice. I’d rather play 80 or more fps upscaled with minute artifacts that I don’t notice, than 40 fps native 4k, just as I said. It feels much better to me, even if it’s placebo.
I’m sure you’re not alone but can I ask why? Some games use it better than others, and the tech has come a long way. If I have to choose between native 4k and 40fps, or 80 or even more fps with tiny artifacts that I only really notice when I’m actively pixel peeping… I mean, I’ll take the latter, personally.
I was just pointing out that you don’t buy the game. A more appropriate comment might have been something like, “I won’t be buying any of their content”.
Loved Max Payne 3. As someone who also enjoyed the first two, I always felt 3 was underrated. Honestly think it holds up, too. Worst part was tacking on multiplayer imho, but that was extremely popular for most games at that time.
It’s free to play.
I mean, it’s not like the Steam deck was the first device that could suspend games.
Aaah, got ya, sorry about that I misunderstood you.
If I was looking to describe a kind of game, I would not use “progression based” to describe a game where you start from zero every time. I’m well aware that many rogue likes have permanent unlocks which facilitate progression, but then I’m back to my original point in that is not a very helpful descriptor because almost every game is progression based in that sense.
Huh, I didn’t realize it was made by Nexon.
