Dang that’s a bit harsh to the poor 12 year olds, being compared to someone like that!

I think there’s something similar in terms of initial patent rights, but it’s awful that people who need these meds are footing the bill. I realise now that I have been spoiled by the NHS. The idea of charging people for medical care that they need is unthinkable to me. It’s heartbreaking.
Wow, damn I had no idea. It’s criminal that they’re allowed to price gouge people like that!
I’d understand if it was some frivolous cosmetic thing made from anglerfish caviar or something equally absurd, but this is lifesaving medicine. I wish terrible things on the people who set those prices, that’s pure evil.
Does the US not have generic unbranded drugs?
Generics are literally a fact of life over here (UK) and the fact that Americans are going insane over them is wild to me. The NHS will prescribe generics as standard because they’re cheaper to supply and they’re literally the same drug.
My mother has a whole goody-bag of medication and there’s not a single brand name to be seen. They’ve kept her going for >10 years.
And shit like this is why I just installed Linux Mint on my mother’s PC. No issues so far.
As a former IT help desk person, I can confirm that we do in fact love it when people give us good info. People who write screen broke shouldn’t be working with technology more advanced than a shovel
And check your local inheritance laws. Some places will take pre-death gifts into account depending on how long the time between gift and death is. The UK, as an example, looks at gifts made up to 7 years before a person’s death. It’s messed up.
Fuck Nestlé
Glad to see I’m not the only one! Same phone, same OS, same issue here too.
They are indeed some spiteful ass cunts.
And this is why I refuse to take part in selfie culture. Shit’s dangerous. When can we go back to the anonymous internet of yore?
I think part of the issue is that there’s a lot more predatory shit on the internet nowadays. I say this as a person who has had unfettered access to the internet since my tweens. Social media and The Algorithms have changed the internet, and not necessarily for the better.
Just as a for-instance, if you go to YouTube on a freshly installed browser without logging in, the front page is kind of wild. Then the algorithm will pull you down a rabbit hole and kids who haven’t been taught that they’re being manipulated are going to start taking everything as fact from people like Tate.
We didn’t have things trying to get in our heads to this extent; while I do wish the kids had their freedom, I also recognise that the internet has become hell. I can understand why parents would try to shield their kids from that.
Brave, Firefox Focus and Mull are decent options for mobile users.
Don’t forget to use a VPN so you don’t get traced by copyright lawyers! They often seed torrents in the name of gathering IPs to take action against.
