This is obviously true in the strictest sense, but I don’t think it’s going to have the desired effect you want in the long run. How’s the War on Drugs working out? It’s been going for 54 years, so I assume it’s about wrapped up now, drugs aren’t an issue, black market is choked out, and society is better off.
Firearms restrictions will be enforced unequally; it will be used as a pretense to further persecute minorities. Those with money will simply hire private security contractors who can jump through the legal hoops to get whatever they want. The majority of shootings in the US are related to drugs and other illegal activities that have logistics channels to get guns just as easily as drugs or exploited people. Guns are durable and the demand exists. They’re not going anywhere.
The gun problem in the US is not the cause of our woes, it is the symptom. “Make X illegal” is the laziest form of government and it’s just granting them more power which will be abused eventually.
Ban smartphones makes about as much sense as ban drugs or ban guns. It does nothing to address root causes and will do little to change anything for the better. Societal issues take more than “make X illegal”.

Also if you just mean multiple libraries like switching between them, click at the top. I’ve got 4 of my own and 1 from a friend here.
Plexamp does a pretty good job with the radio features, granted you will have to torrent stuff you’re not necessarily familiar with first. If you have a few friends who also share their music libraries with you it can really help by including their tracks in your radios.
AI can’t make a good hook or a catchy tune
Good luck keeping this out of your head:
The best part about AI is people are shooting themselves in the foot using it at school, where you’re supposed to learn things, and it will make the rest of us not nearly as dependent on a LLM rise to the top. I truly do not understanding cheating in college. If you’re not learning, what’s the fucking point? How well are you going to perform without access to that LLM? Good grades are not the point of college.
They used to.

A cursory search shows rail in rural areas is $2 million per mile and a highway is $4-10 million per mile.
Not in the constitution. That was a Supreme Court judgement (Roe v Wade) that was overturned.
This is what I’ve been saying for years. You don’t need to listen to someone’s microphone to serve eerily relevant ads. I’ve heard people commonly discussing how they talked about something and saw an ad for it later. You’re already being tracked everywhere and a bit of confirmation bias is all you need to focus in on the times it works. It’s like that story of the prenatal vitamins being recommended to that woman who didn’t realize she’s pregnant.
This isn’t to say that I don’t believe someone can’t possibly turn on the mic in a targeted attack, but few of us are having conversations that are that important. It’s way easier to target you other ways using data that’s much more available.
There’s nothing stopping anybody
I assume you can do it by hand, right now, in a few seconds then?

Dope. Looks like I’ll have to give Linux a shot once again. Worked fine on an old ultra book I had, but every time I tried on my desktop I’d fail at the GPU drivers step.
What’s installing Nvidia drivers like?
This has killed my install and interest in Linux every time I’ve tried it.
They’re both about price in my opinion.
Personally I don’t feel the console itself is that bad, but $80 Nintendo games, that never go on sale, can fuck right off.
Big Xbox One release vibes.

Yeah, might be switching to Jellyfin eventually, but I want to milk my lifetime plex pass for a bit longer. The enshittification hasn’t reached terminal levels for me yet. I’d have to talk all my non-nerd friends through setting Jellyfin up as well, so there’s a significant effort barrier to switching there.
Plexamp is fantastic. Sweetfades and radio/mix features, which can also include songs from shared libraries, are dope as hell. One of my favorite audio players of all time. Bridges the gap between old school local library playback and modern algorithm stuff really well.
What do you mean by same thing with Meshtastic, are they trying to sell spectrum around 900mHz too?
