Saved in /dev/null which I’ve discovered has infinite storage space for write-once-read- never data.
All of mine are called do_thing()
because after a few days of working on it, the scope creep always means the original name was wrong anyway.
I mean Linux magazines in general were pretty niche, not all corner shops had them. I had to go to larger newsagents and decide which one had the most tempting cd on the cover that month.
It was pretty niche, most magazine racks in a corner shop would only carry a few of them.
There was a sort of rule at the time, for people with cd burners in their PCs. You would charge people for the 3-4 CDs which e.g. mandrake came on, but wouldn’t charge them for the time or software itself. So you’d “buy Linux” from your friends friend for a few quid.

It is. Taking from a service without paying for it, and actively avoiding the service making money via advertising is basically the same as watching a film without paying for it.
Both ways, you consumed a service and the people providing it got nothing, but it cost them something to create and provide it.
Snaaaaaake
How do you pronounce the hyphen in double barrelled names?

This sounds like it would create a whole list of fun and irritating edge conditions for some poor bugger to debug. Love it.

A horrible thought I heard once and can never get out of my mind:
Our bodies originally had horizontal spines and everything hung down from it. Now we hold our spines vertically, but the internals now all hang wrong.
No idea if true (seems like it’s simplifying eons of evolution), but it makes me very uncomfortable imagining it.
Rtf is far more lightweight than docx. It’s closer to markdown.
