I saw Wicked on Broadway because my wife wanted to go even though both of us hate musicals. It did nothing to change our minds about musicals. It was also one of the loudest experiences of my life, and I’ve gone to DJ sets where it felt like my heart wasn’t beating.

6 out of 10 is the new 2. People don’t know how to rate things anymore. It makes everything difficult to gauge. The Chinese restaurant in town near me has a 4.7/5 on Google and it’s the most disgusting food I’ve ever eaten, yet it has the same score as the actually good restaurants nearby.

I think I had to update twice, maybe three times in the past four or five years? I’ve never considered that an issue.
I’ve been using a hacked Spotify app for years. It takes 5 minutes to set up and I don’t have to pay any money to a soulless corporation who will throw a few half pennies to the artists that I enjoy. Oh, and I get to disable the shit ui choices that they try to implement so I get a better experience than a paying customer.
I know somebody that just recently had to buy another drive for their 32TB unraid media server that runs in a DIY clean box in the basement. Is that small or large? I can’t imagine myself doing that much crime.
Because people will pay to see it. Remakes are still hugely popular, even if they’re unnecessary and distasteful.

I don’t understand how people can say this. I saw both mad max movies in theaters, and the CG was so immersion breaking in both for me. Not just bits of odd looking shots here or there, but the majority of the movies. It looks like they did sky replacement or some other monkeying around. All the lighting looks off and there’s that classic grey-washing on edges throughout. I don’t know what I’m talking about; I just know it looks ass to me and I wish it didn’t because they’re fun movies.
