That’s why I liked it.
In several places it looked like I knew where it was going, then suddenly it surprised me with a different direction.

Not at all! They’re amazing!
I enjoy the hell out of every frame of those movies.
How does it feel like DOOM if you’re using WASD instead of the arrow keys?
Plot and story are overrated.
If that’s what really made a movie, a synopsis would be just as good. And way cheaper to make.
People keep saying this kind of thing, without understanding there are only a couple dozen stories. Literally, every good story is a version of something else. Maybe at best, a mash up of a couple.
Edit: here is a decent page that covers them all.
People would pay a dozen times if it was good enough
Cool, even more lack of… anything constructive.
I didn’t read it, but I’m guessing the answer is: Don’t.
It sounds like a real bad idea.
That’s not really got much to do with the article. Its about the changing landscape of the media industry.
Like you, I keep a library of media. But I always try to source Blu-ray rips for max quality. If Blu-rays go away, so does that top quality option, which would make me sad.
Exactly. People need to stop conflating enjoyment with quality.
I love this movie. It’s such a big swing, in so many ways, by so many people. I enjoy every min. And respect the hell out of what it was trying to be.
uh…
That seems insane.
I’m betting on either awesome future classic, or notoriously terrible.
Not a chance it’ll be anything between.
Sure, if you’re torrenting government censored media to distribute to others living under an oppressive regime.
Are you torrenting government censored media to distribute to others living under an oppressive regime?
Fuck off!
If it’s not for you, you’re free to ignore it.
Stop criticizing shit before it even exists.
That says more about you than the movie.
Yes!
One person, yes. The rest were never into them very much anyway.
I’m not going to jump on the MCU hate wagon. Some of them have been great, others less so. But none have been actually bad movies. There’s nothing wrong with making fun and forgettable entertainment.
Is this a joke?
It was a $300M movie with a marketing campaign to match. It was unavoidable for nearly two months.
Disney+ now has 124.6 million subs.
So they lost a fraction of a percent, and probably doesn’t matter really. Ok
A movie’s quality or worth, has nothing to do with weather or not you, I, or any other individual likes it.
The world is bigger than your opinion. And when you say a movie doesn’t need to be made because you didn’t like the last one, you’re literally implying “I’m the only person who should decide if a movie is worth making!” Which I’m sure you’ll agree is ridiculous.
Not every movie is made for you, obviously. So maybe if you didn’t like it, someone else did, and it was worth making for them.
If A Working Man is based on a book, you can’t really call it original. It’s also another Statham action movie, which also can’t really be called original.
I am excited to see Death of a Unicorn.
