It’s the same mentality of, we shouldn’t mute ads or go to the bathroom when they come on. That’s the advertising businesses problem, not mine. They haven’t made life better for most of us and I refuse to feel guilty of depriving them of money.

Agree with this. For my business, and most customer facing ones honestly, Google is how people discover you. They are the modern day Yellow Pages. You don’t exist on Google and you may as well not exist. It sucks but they have that much of a stranglehold. This is why everyone is shitting themselves over Google using AI (it’s harder/unknown how to game).

Absolutely the same for me. The only reason I block their ads is because of how frequently they interrupt the content. It’s just unacceptably greedy. Pre-roll ads is fine, I get they have bills to pay too.

Just use Nvidia’s server drivers instead of gaming drivers. All the AI datacenters are using Nvidia GPUs on Linux, so Nvidia is highly motivated to make this work

And this is why my wife and I homeschool our kids. It’s all about teaching critical thinking. They’re so far beyond their peers in public schools it’s not even close. NCLB was one of the worst decisions for our society in centuries.

Have you worked in a non-tech field with people? Modern OSs and office apps are not intuitive to them. Hell, a lot have problems with just their phones as is.

I think word wrapping is automatically assumed is the default. I’m not aware of any rtf editors that don’t display wrapped as the default.

One of the things I don’t like about markdown. Carriage returns are just built into most languages now. I shouldn’t have to use double spaces (which put auto periods in on iOS and Android) or a slash to get the same effect. That’s counterintuitive.

I mean, every time we hire a new manager (not high level mind you) we tell them that whatever they communicate digitally, they better be comfortable with it being read in court.
