What site is that?
Just asking so I know what to avoid.
Sweet! Tempo is the best subsonic client I’ve found for Android. Hoping to use it for a long time.
It’s a protocol for hosting music libraries.
Think of it like your personal Spotify backend.
I’m running navidrome to serve music to tempo on my devices.
He doesn’t have that kind of money.
He owns stock valued at insane prices. No one will buy 6B worth of stocks. Trying to crank it out on the open exchanges would make the value dive.
everybody hates snaps because canonical owns it
We like of like things to be open so that we can review, or replace. The snap store is proprietary and controlled by canonical. I don’t want my data collected and subject to canonical’s EULA when using my choice of distro.
Canonical has a hisory of doing bad choices, so the level of trust is not very high. It feels like an attempt at embrace, extend, extinguish. Get people hooked on snaps and then make snaps suck on other distros kind of thing.
Mine does.
You can digitally “lend” a movie for a week and stream it once during that time. It’s free, but more cumbersome than the high seas.
When I was a kid, we played pacman. A literal puck who eats pixels and takes turns chasing ghosts. We turned out fine.
It’s not like that’s what caused us to go to rave parties, listen to beepy music and pop ecstacy pills.
The EU has strict climate goals to push away from fossil fuels. The current goal is to ban the sale of new combustion engine cars by 2035.
The fuel here contains a bit more renewables, which also costs more o produce. Still, more than half of the cost of fuel is tax. They had a nice tax break for buying a new electric car for a while, but that window has passed.
Over in Sweden it would be hard to replicate these results. Gasoline is ~18SEK/l ($7.5 per gallon).
My electricity production cost changes by the hour, so I can steer my cost by charging when it’s costs are low. Taxes and transfer costs give me a minimum of about $0.07/kWh. A smart charger that picks when to charge based on price can probably average you a cost of $0.10/kWh over the year.
I have a thin stick-on slider for my laptops. It’d look clunky, but you can stick it on any tablet or phone.
I’ve seen a couple that have had like one or two trivial commits in the half year it took for them to get laid off. Idk what kind of manager did not solve whatever was going on there. I guess getting laid off is a solution, too.
I never really understood twitter. Feels to me like it’s all about following personalities in a poor format that doesn’t cater to discussion. I’ve had an account since early, mostly for testing twitter integrations for work. I haven’t even bothered to log in for a couple of years.
I logged in yesterday just to deactivate my account.
It’s just an expensive paperweight until we can run Linux on it.
Depends on your setup. I’m a btrfs guy, so I’d go with something similar as your other reply. It’s just as easy to remove/replace/add drives. They don’t even have to match in size. Just remember to balance after doing modifications to your array.
Whatever you get, get at least two and do RAID1/5/6. They will break.
Speed shouldn’t be an issue for streaming media.
+1 for purelymail.
I’ve had my personal domain on gmail and most recently proton. Proton got too pricy when I wanted to add another couple of domains. After some research I landed on purelymail, and it’s been smooth sailing to set up and use.
