Not that HP isn’t aware or not ticked off about this, mind. Recently they threatened to brick HP printers that use third-party cartridges if detected
Try that in EU.
I dare you. I double dare you.
What does ECCN look like?

Also missing cinematic masterpiece “Jingle all the way”.
Yes and no. That model still gets updates. One I have has no active support licence, so it has to be updated manually.
No. It’s proprietary custom SoC that runs heavily modified unix on ARM.
But software is solid and patches come out lightning fast.
Same idea here. Fortigate 30f (since I can dl updates manually), Fortiswitch 124e (same) and 2 FortiAP 421E’s (ditto). All but ap’s I could grab from employers “ditch bin”.
If couple reports are true, it is already breached and can be mined for info.

Sounds like 'murrica.
Obligatory “Way ahead of you” post.
Meanwhile, one level up:
“Hey, look! Our planetary simulation has developed it’s own planetary simulation.”
“Cool! Lets set up a pool how many recursive simulations there will be in 100 years.”
😉
Not from HP, I hope…
Or 4 % of their total global turnover of the preceding fiscal year…
To quote flamingo_pinyata: “Zero equals zero”
Maybe it is just me, but I paid only 50€ for late 16 macbook and got late 13 for free. Ssd and memory upgrades were about 100€ (dumpster ram) and both run ventura and sonoma (OCLP) without a hitch. And both work perfectly for programming and such.
Bollocks. Nokia 800 tough, 2660 flip, 2720 flip, 225 4g, 6300 4g, 8000 4g - just from one manufacturer, and there’s plenty of others.
Not all phones are smartphones. Theres still plenty of use cases for call/sms only phones.
In small scale old truck/semi batteries are pretty good energy storage solution. Not good enough for round the year use in transportation, but quite usefull in small scale energy storage. (I have a set of 10 attached to solar panels at summer cottage. Enough to run 12V lighting, fridge, fans and tv through the (short) night).
Yeah, well, you know, that’s just, like, your opinion, whippersnapper.
Setup.exe /product server ;) Not a magic bullet, but helps in many cases. You have to use older ISO, thou.
I still do monthly service checks to industrial computers that use win3.11, 2000 and unix from early 90’s. When machines that costs even up to million to replace require legacy os, you scrounge up older hardware to run them as long as you can.
Wrote excels that controlled building automation and heat exchanger settings, collected water and electricity meter data automatically and created bills ready to print and mail to tenants.
That was about quarter century ago.
