Not complaining about more Ninja Gaiden. Just feels a bit weird to see 4 after what feels like the series was just left on hiatus. Kinda figure they’d take the chance to get a fresh start, though the plot seems like it’s more a soft reboot.

With a focus on “social” gifting including skimpier swimwear and suggestive posing.
With a story that revolves around a rich pervert wanting a bunch of young girls in bikinis running around.
It’s weird to think about an MMO getting a remaster. They’ve kinda just been “living” things that one day die, and maybe come back on a new engine under a slightly different name or return more aggressively monetized.
An ongoing series of soft relaunches with some minor branding changes.
How many studios are about to be sacrificed to balance the scales for this?

Holy shit, I genuinely haven’t thought about that manga for years. I completely have respect for it, from the bits I’ve seen. I’ve never delved into it myself, but I used to have a buddy that absolutely loved it, he used to post panels and pages as reactions.
That is definitely going on my watchlist.

I wish they would say why they’re “not thrilled”. Barbie, as a franchise, has a history of animated movies long before the live-action was a thing. I’m more surprised its taken this long, and hasn’t been a flood of “We’re redoing Barbie and the Three Musketeers with slightly better animation!” while the iron was hot.
