Starfield was much better than Outer Worlds IMO. I enjoyed my time with Starfield, it’s not perfect of course. I’ve tried to get through Outer Worlds three times but it’s just not fun, I also strongly dislike New Vegas. Just ok writing doesn’t make up for shitty gameplay.

Why write that comment instead of looking it up? They make a lot of money, which has been widely reported since they started. Even without knowing that from the evidence you gotta be very ignorant of humanity to think they don’t make money. You know those bot comments on YouTube that are on almost every video now, with a NSFW profile pic and always write “ANYONE IN 2089? 💖” (with random future years)? They are used because they work, people reply and contact them and then they get scammed. That’s on a way more idiotic and deprived level than people paying for ai chat bots, it’s not even close.

And you’ve shown with your comment that you’re pretty damn stupid too, you just state something without even trying to find out for yourself and without realising how the only thing you’ve succeeded at is showing everyone here how dumb you are.

I understand why, but I in no way agree or think it’s good or acceptable. They’re mainly an ad company, so giving users the option to filter out apps with things they earn money from doesn’t make sense for them. It’s shitty, but logical.

There are third-party apps for the playstore, maybe one or several might have that option? Only one I know the name of just from memory is Aurora, check it out and see if it has those options.

How did the maker of that comic fuck up the very first sentence that badly? It makes no sense. The closest I can guess is it should be “forcing touch design on desktop users” and not “in”, but even that is idiotic grammar. It’s like they don’t know what any of the words really mean.

Core Keeper, I’ve known about it for a while but never really looked into it, tried it out and it’s much better than I thought it’d be! Basically Terraria with a top down view, really fun.

Wayfinder, Gothic and Blades of Time so far.

Fell asleep to this last night, I was awake for just enough to be interested in the game but not enough to where it’s spoiled in any way. Gonna buy it and give it a go, seems awesome!

That’s steam but the games I’ve put the most time into are:

Minecraft, must be over 10k hours.

Halo 1, 2, 3 and Reach, pretty sure over 10k hours combined.

There’s surely some game I’m forgetting right now, just woke up.

There are also several mobile games I must have put thousands of hours into over the years.

I’m absolutely certain that people really want to have things that annoy them and makes them feel bad just so they can complain and get attention from that complaining. This is the same as people complaining about ads online and then doing nothing to fix that, it’s the same with many things.

It’s also very much part of the 'murican narcissism culture, everyone has to be special in some way, no matter how shallow, made up or objectively irrelevant that is. I’ve known a few Americans IRL (I’m Swedish) at different periods of my life and no one else has ever come close to the level of mental gymnastics they do to feel special, cool, different etc. This really mirrors a lot of other things about the US, the classic image of early American towns with houses that have decorated facades but that’s all it is, paper-thin lies to mask both nothingness and shittyness. And man do they hate it when you try to push your finger through those shallow shields they build for themselves.

I highly recommend the first one, Far Cry 3 and its stand-alone expansion Far Cry 3: Blood Dragon. Also, the first Crysis game which is very similar to Far Cry.

New ones I’ve finished and absolutely loved: Dragon Age: The Veilguard and Star Wars: Outlaws

Not new ones that I’m currently playing and really like so far: Days Gone and Mad Max

Not new ones that I’m currently playing that I’m unsure if I like, be it because of the game itself or technical issues: Enshrouded, Horizon Forbidden West, and Satisfactory

Ones I’ve played for some time and won’t stop playing anytime soon (and obviously love): Warframe and Minecraft

The Windows updating experience, both the system and apps via the Microsoft Store is so fucking bad it’s unbelievable. Shit just stops working all the time, updates fail, grinds the whole system to a halt etc.

For several years now I’ve been unable to update apps in the Microsoft store in one go, I have to open it, click “get updates” and the circular progression bar goes to about 1/5 and then just stops. So I have to close the app, wait a few minutes, open it again and then press the “play” button for every single app that has updates for the download to actually start, nothing else works. It’s been the same for Windows 10 and 11 across four different computers.

There was a Windows 10 update several months ago, might even have been last year that just failed for a ton of people and it took months before it was fixed.
