Yeah I had a Moterola. Nearly everyone I knew with a windows phone had issues. It’s also why I switched. But it’s sad though, we need more options. Now I’m hoping for Linux phones, because fuck Apple, fuck Microsoft and fuck Google. Windows phones were extremily unstable. Android was indeed a mess, but it ran reasonably well on all phones while Windows phones had poor support and many crashed a lot. By the way, I indeed don’t like Microsoft, but I dislike that company as much as Google and almost as much as Apple.
They chose windows os over android. It was their downfall. The amazingly designed phones we could have had if they would have used Android instead… I miss my old Nokia phones, all of them but especially the 3310.

Oh I do, I’m skipping all AAA games. I illegally download them out of curiosity, but often delete them after 30min of playtime. But it still gets me angry because it basically is a major scam. Luring in loads of people with cool looking videos, then to deliver a bug simulator with most content locked behind more purchases (DLC’s, loot boxes, subscriptions), completely unbalanced and abandoned after the fist sale period because fixing the bugs and balance doesn’t provide more income so might as well quit and start a new scam. And then the audacity to complain people should not expect Baldur’s Gate 3 to be a standard to compare other games to. Maybe do see it as a standard and try to create a properly working product with actual decent content worth it’s money?
The graphics are too expensive for AAA games? AAA means they are throwing the highest category budget for developing a game. And they ONLY invest in graphics, discarding the rest like a proper story (if any), decent characters, bug fixing, balancing, etc. Now they create junk only 1% of players with a 4090 can run somewhay decently on medium settings with 30fps average and loads of framedrops.
Wow guys, amazing, thanks I guess, this costed me 80 euros. Can’t you tone down the graphics by at least 60% and focus on the “game” part of the game instead?
On a scale from 1 to 10, how many of those games aren’t absolute shit and/or money grab scams?
Probably, Americans love to hunt them into extinction.
But they do provide a good alternative for watching videos on multiple platforms without ads, without subscriptions or anything. And the app works if you don’t pay as well. Just because they ask money for their hard work while at the same time allowing the community to work with it sounds all good to me. It’s just not completely open source and completely free. But feel free to make a non-profit true open source counterpart if you like :)

Baldurs gate 3 doesn’t need mods. There’s also no one stopping you when walking into a sex toy shop in cyberpunk after configuring your breasts and penis size (because you can have both), without mods. And boy do they have some nice toys.

I have to confess, I disabled internet when installing windows to avoid all the booking[dot]com etc apps and ads. But I got ads on win11 and besides the MS apps ads I didn’t get anything else.
I’ve seen several reports stating win10 is faster. I’ve based my opinion on those reports.
Thank you for adding sources to your reply, I’ll look into it. For now I’m fucked up (drunk) because of the US elections as the outcome is either bad or extremity fucked up. And have a major influence for us Europeans as well.
In the end, MS is fucking up their OS big time, whether it’s 10 or 11. I feel forced to switch everything I have to Linux, although I do depend on some apps which do not support Linux sadly. Like Directory Opus. I had a hard time working with network drives on Linux, which makes a switch hard for me as I have a NAS for my main storage. But MS sure pushes me to switch.
Bogus. They are the same in that regard. Stability is mostly dependent on used hardware and drivers these days.

A few minor things around taskbar placement. Even though my personal preference is a vertical taskbar on the left screen edge, it’s less important than WSL2.
Just that? Then where are the old settings? The old configuration screen? It’s gone now in win11.
Win10 also has ads, MS added more ads through updates. My work desktop PC runs Win10, my work notebook runs Win11. I have the comparison on a daily basis.
I only had ads for win11 and office365 on win10. That’s it. Win11 has loads of ads.
Win10 runs faster and more stable then win11. Don’t get me started on all the limitations win11 introduced, next to all the ads and loss of control of settings.
Yeah, I’d like to have discussions with people who have factual based opinions and I don’t mind changing my opponion when they come with properly factual supported arguments. However, opinions based on feelings I do not understand and I do not feel like a discussion is even possible as I cannot argue against a feeling, no matter how factual my arguments are. It’s why I do not argue with religious people. They claim a monopoly in the truth. How unfactual their claim may be, there is no argument which they do not see as a personal attack.

Ah, I guess that must be it than. My time perception is crap, you are probably right. I know I got an iPhone 3 and 4 and switched to android afterwards, a Samsung galaxy 3 to start with. Before the iPhone I had Nokia phones and during that time a Moterola with windows os on in. Thanks for clearing it up though! Too bad they didn’t continue. We need more options and rivalry.
