I’m with you … I don’t need every MCU movie to be about the end of the world. I would be happy watching Spiderman trying to make rent while just handling some small time hood.

“In some parts of the city, you can’t even park your car anymore without downloading an app.”
Omg, this. I left my phone at home by accident and quickly found out that I could not pay a meter on the area I went to … You had to download an app to pay or use you phone to register a phone number and manually enter a plate and credit card.
No phone…meant no parking.
Good luck too if your phone happens to run out of battery.
Yes thats it. I gotta go find that disk somewhere in my old folders now
What was the name of that motorcycle racing game where you also beat up other racers all while racing to Soundgarden… That one.
Having local media, whether disk or a copy on a nas drive, is a must for me.
Plus it’s nice to have stuff to watch if my ISP loses connection for a day or so, which happens quite a bit.
Oh nonono. Real men rest in rest. Then push to stage for QA testing, then flip blue green to go to prod.
Anything else is insane.
I told people years ago. You don’t own those books.
I own my books… They are made out of this thing called paper and line the wall of my office. All the volumes I value I have of copy of for myself and future generations of my family
Sure. My ISP gave me this range for this exact reason.
I use port knock. Really helps against scans if you are the edge device.
If it’s public facing, how about dont turn on ssh to the public, open it to select ips or ranges. Use a non standard port, use a cert or even a radius with TOTP like privacyIdea. How about a port knocker to open the non standard port as well. Autoban to lock out source ips.
That’s just off the top of my head.
There’s a lot you can do to harden a host.
There’s a 40 year I.T. veteran here that still suffers imposter syndrome. It’s a real thing I’ve never been able to shake off
In other news, Google wants to scan all your messenger images.
Uncharted
You can pick up any game in the series and you get a complete story.
Plus imho, one of the best series in recent memory
Whoever wrote this bill probably lacks the basic network skills to know you can do that.
I used both. But the track pad buttons are so much easier to use for click and drag operations, left click right click is a button not an Interpreted 2 finger gesture that doesn’t always work.
This, and why do they take away the 2 buttons below the track pad. PC track pads are barely tolerable as it is.
Pop Os is nice. I went and bought the same hardware that system76 uses and then loaded their popOs on it. Going on 4 years of use now, zero issues. Battery life is challenging… Solid laptop otherwise.
Saw it in the theater … Meh, a 6 out of 10 I think. Plot was kinda contrived. But there are some beautiful shots in there, the opening with the eagles on the mountain, gorgeous.
It was ok, but nothing outstanding
Universal media server works for me. I run it headless on a small instance. Streams my movies and music just fine.
