Very true, but due to its size, it doesn’t really make sense to focus on it.

So like the black mirror episode Common People
Don’t worry, much like the person wielding it, it will never see any action.
Games is the one example that actually makes sense though. The game code size hasn’t really increased tremendously, but the uncompressed assets have only gotten more detailed and more numerous.
That is exactly why Chromebooks were (are?) so popular. You got a cheap laptop with an easy-to-use OS without having to do any install. And let’s be real here, most people don’t need anything more than a web browser.
Go for Bazzite. It’s basically Steam OS but with extra stuff that makes it “just work”, even on an Nvidia GPU.
Once Valve releases their official Steam OS, you can always switch to it.
But a forum post said it would fix my issue.
It’s way worse than that.
Even if you somehow magically have the same settings as everyone else, you’re mouse movement will still be unique.
You can even render something on a canvas out of view and depending on your GPU, your graphics driver, etc the text will look different…
There is no real way to escape fingerprinting.
That’s still half the US population though.
Could be a watermark that got removed.
To be fair, nerds will tell their tech-illiterate friends about this change and probably influence them enough to consider it. Especially when it’s something as easy as downloading an application.
It’s much easier to switch a browser then it is to stop using Google, Facebook, etc.
I’m sure the void would have been filled with anither company.
As another older gamer I have bought every single switch first party game to display them on my shelves. I also have them all on my PC as roms so I can enjoy them with high fidelity and stable 60 FPS.
I will neither buy another one of their games nor their next console and I also downloaded each and every rom I could find out of spite. I hope their next console crashes and burns like the Wii U…
Same, friends. I don’t care what operating system people use, as long as Valve keeps supporting Proton and making it possible for me to game and therefore stick with Linux.
Not OP, but the lack of Linux support is my biggest issue with them.
This argument always bothers me.
Do you really expect people that are involved with child pornography to go “Oh well, now that it’s forbidden to have private messaging I guess I will just stop looking at children, because the law is the law and I have to follow it.”?
These people know they are breaking the law and I can promise you this. They will find a way to privately exchange their shit while the rest of us now have even less privacy…
Maybe pay off would be so far into the future that they don’t want to risk it? Who knows how long crypto will be a thing.
So what you are saying is that you are still in the middle of the picture. Got it.
Exactly. I’d like to see OP’s reaction if a giant would crush his house and maybe even his loved ones.
