Thanks! I like it a lot.

I feel like this game will do good, considering how long it’s been in development already. Plus, with the success of the first game, I feel like it’s a low risk that this one will not deliver at least something somewhat decent.
Probably. I have 2 kids, and I still love Nintendo games. It does depend on a few things so I will wait to see what its capable of. I also don’t see myself buying it at release, I’m to old for that FOMO.
Or enough time for everyone to realize, “Why did we need this?” And go away forever.
I always thought the entire point of them releasing this was not to make crazy money, but see how to improve upon what they built by having everyone beta test it for them. They really didn’t have much info on how to make VR successful since none of them are really big. Sure, there’s a market, but they want to know what it will take to get everyone on board not just the enthusiasts. Personally, I think it’s going to take more than just an app to get there.
It will be interesting to see what big changes they make to the next version since I bet they are willing to change just about everything if they think the data collected proves it’s needed. At that point I feel like version 2 will really be the product I want to see. I’ll never buy or own one of these, and I hate apple products, but it’s interesting to see what they will bring to the table since they obviously are investing a ton of money into this.
As much as I want to love rogue light games, I just can’t get into most because I do not enjoy repeating the same thing over and over. It’s especially exhausting when you start doing 30-40 minutes runs and I am just like, nah, there’s no way I’m doing another run once I die. With that said, my favorite by far is also Slay the Spire because a run doesn’t take very long and is lighthearted, so it works perfectly. The other games I enjoyed were Dead Cells, and Children of Morta. Hades was great as well, but you mentioned that.
I gave mine up spring of 2016 and never looked back. Surprisingly it didn’t have to do with the election either. I remember talking to a few friends a few months later and they said I got out at the right time since it was the start of the crazies coming out of the woodwork.
I have no clue how people can be so addicted to stuff like this that they make all the excuses in the world to not go through with it.
Game looks cool. I just hate promo videos where they have someone from the company explain it. Just give me a trailer or straight video, I don’t need someone selling it to me in the most corporate HR way possible.
I believe the precision series kind of took over. They are high-end models but not really built for gaming. At this point, the XPS wasn’t built for gaming either, so I guess having 2 high-end lines just didn’t make sense?
Edit: I should have read the article first! I guess all the names are going away. I don’t care for the new names either, but both were pretty bad. The only difference is we got used to what it is now despite how little sense it made.
As someone who got a new release AMD card in late 2023, I am a bit disappointed that there’s no support of even the newest cards for this… I have also never used 3.0 because of the limited number of games that support it, so it’s kind of ridiculous they are already onto an even more exclusive 4.0.
The first game my kid played was also at 4, and it was super Mario Odyssey with the assist turn on, which paints an arrow to where to go plus health restores after not getting hit for like 10 seconds. We also got our other kid Bluey because she loves Bluey, and it was super simple to play, but sometimes hard to grasp what they should be doing. I also agree with Kirby, it was basically the 2nd game he played and ended up beating it which was pretty shocking.
I say don’t worry. There’s no way they will be able to change this system anytime soon. Even if airports are able to accommodate the change, it will be extremely hard for all borders and other checkpoints to do the same. We know how slow progress is for stuff like this. If this is implemented, it will not mean passports won’t still be required for a long time. My guess is a minimum of 20 years at the least before seeing any change.
I don’t use Linux much, and I still agree. If the market share for Linux continues to rise every year, then it’s absolutely true.
I wonder what consultants told them they need them. Do you think any work for General Atomics, Lockheed Martin, Raytheon, Northrup Grumman, and Blue Halo?
Honestly, I am probably in the minority, but I don’t understand the hate for console exclusivity. In today’s world there is almost no reason to stick with a console outside some small stuff like pick up and go and knowing a game will just work. I say let them hold rights to games if it gets people to invest in getting one. I am not really sure why this is such a negative thing for some. It’s also odd that Sony gets the biggest blame when you have Nintendo that has zero games playable on other platforms outside emulation. At least these days 8 months after release it gets a PC release as well.
This is us. We have a heavy footprint with VMware and have been going over plans to switch since before the buyout. Sadly were not there yet but should be mostly migrated to something else by EOY 2025. Our issues come with some solutions we have in place for some complex situations that is taking a bit longer to test and have a working solution with the next company we pick.
I have almost no time to play much, especially an mmo, but I have been trying Throne & Liberty and was kind of impressed from what I have played so far. Again, I am only at the beginning and barely did much, but from what I have seen, I like the mechanics, and it looks really good. I have no clue if it holds up once you get near end game stuff or if P2W takes over.
At least you got Mighty #9 plus mega man 11 in the last 10 years.
Wow, thanks for the info. I definitely didn’t know about true colors at all. So many!
To bad they didn’t hear about Loops. I don’t use this stuff so I have no idea if it’s good or not, but it’s not Chinese or collecting your data so it would be worth a try. Although if 400k users flooded it I have serious doubts they could scale to meet a demand like that.
