27 days agoI mean, it’s not like they manually sculpted him every scene. They probably referenced a 3D model file. Swap that out and do some touch ups and you’re golden

Not really related to the pointer thing, but Rust also has pattern matching based on Enums, as they’re actually sum-types and not just numbers
Derive macros are a godsend. There’s macros to automatically implement serialization as well. Basically a Trait that can automatically be implemented when derived
Also the recommendation algorithm is awful compared to Google Play Music
92·3 months agoJust some context: from 2017 until last year they had the majority of the development staff working on SQ42, which they declared feature complete last year and now we have a planned release of 2026. Most of the development staff has been moved back to Star Citizen which is finally seeing a lot of tech come online that was promised years ago. Definitely has a ton of scope creep, and it’ll probably never have an official release, but it’s definitely a cool tech demo that you can play.
They don’t stream a video feed to you, they stream the terrain to you
Because they don’t want to optimize the PC port, so they lower graphical fidelity.
Also Gluetun if you want to run qbittorrent in docker with a tun interface.
Really only SSH and sudo broke. sudo would still work but you’d have to re-enter your password every time. It was a painful experience and I’m glad I know better now.
Once had a friend run
sudo chmod -R 777 /on a (public) Minecraft server we were running back in highschool. It made me die a bit on the inside.
I’ve seen sites truncate when setting, but not on checking. So you set a password on a site with no stated limit, go to use said password, and get locked out. It’s infuriating
