I have seen 3 different posts and each had a different value for X. The number sends arbitrary. Who gives a shit what he paid for his own company.
That doesn’t sound very junior dev to me.
Man, I remember one time someone at the office sent out an email inviting everyone to a potluck at the office. Then later went “jk, that was meant just for our group” and I responded with this, except change theme park to potluck.
Someone reported me. I was only told not to do that again. Always wondered who the killjoy was.
Do you even know how many people you just killed?
TIL the US has some high speed rail. I didn’t think we had any.
It’s definitely happened before, though I couldn’t say to what extent. The reason has been that if they rate games from major developers too poorly they stop getting access to their new games before release.
I care very little about critics these days though, and it’s mostly for the reason you suggest, differing opinions. If they don’t like the same types of games I like, what good is their rating to me? I’m not taking the time to try to find a critic that has similar tastes as me.
Funny you mention apps. I turned auto-update off for all of them on my phone because I got tired of functionality being removed. A couple force updates after you get too far behind. Been alright so far, but it’s been less than half a year ago we’ll see how it goes in the long run. Security is obviously taking a hit by doing this.
Accountability, what is that?
DRM is usually known for big games before they are released. You can find articles about how the DRM works online. If it’s a new type of DRM, they usually describe how it works.
This. I avoid management positions like the plague. I already don’t like having to deal with my own performance review. I don’t want to deal with several other people’s. I’ll take the pay hit.
Step 1. Ignore everyone and do the thing you’re going to eventually do anyway.

Uhh, because I have a working optical drive. Am I in the minority now? Doesn’t get a ton of use but every now and then I have to rip a DVD I own because it’s starting to die.
Topics the CCP doesn’t want discussed. Tibet, Tiananmen Square, etc. It also says some restrictions can be bypassed by asking the question in a less obvious way.
This is sarcasm, right? Tell me it’s sarcasm. Mainland Chinese people are perhaps the least courteous people in the world.
I think you’re overestimating humans. Even if we actually attempted to solve all of our problems I seriously doubt we can. I do wonder how much better things could be though.
Uhh, price?
