Correction, you also need money because ain’t no way in Hell the RIAA or any other version of them from another region will allow a small fry to do the same thing. They’ll bleed your bank account and then send their death squads.

As much as I’m not a fan of this, I’ll at least admit it was helpful in helping me quickly learn how to scale videos using FFMPEG. That, combined with the documentation and now I have a command saved to a reference text document to help if I ever forget.
I still do it from time to time because I like playing them on original hardware, but Sonic 1&2 on Genesis/Mega Drive. The Origins Plus versions may not be 100% accurate gameplay with regards to movement/moveset, but anniversary mode’s retry special stages is real nice when half of the time I get screwed in those. Especially 2’s special stages where I feel I feel like I’m constantly getting screwed over by my favorite character/sidekick being incompetent at the special stages.
Just recently got the 3rd game (still need & Knuckles to complete the set) and while not being able to retry special stages is an issue, I can at least reset the game without having to worry about needing to replay the whole entire game over from the start. So it gets a pass because all I gotta do is replay a stage.
I’ve been wondering for a while what’s up. I just assumed that they’re working on a redesign and somebody messed up with the original site code but haven’t fixed it yet.
I’m a bit boring in terms of my favorite 90s platformer, but absolutely love Sonic 1 & 2.
I follow a couple people like Hempuli (Baba Is You dev), Internetarchive, and David Revoy (Pepper & Carrot comic creator). Really depends on what you wanna follow. I follow them because I’m interested in their work in one way or another.
Sad that one of my favorite go-to sites for shows/movies is slowly dying. I hope the site gets itself together and can keep running.
More of a genre than a particular movie, but any and all video game movies that aren’t the 90s shitshow M•rio movie or the 3 live action Sonic films. I’m talking live action because there have clearly been good video games based animated films like… well I can’t think of any right off hand, but they surely exist.
That’s what I used. My usual SearX instance I really like has been failing recently, so I switched to another reliable one, both German hosted instances.
Edit:
I have also noticed other strange things, like how I’ll have an instance set to English but sometimes find miscellaneous posts in other non-Latin alphabet using languages. I presume that’s just because it’s a generic thing I’m searching, like a game or some common software. But I still find it weird.
That’s history that, at least in my region, we learn about in school. For the most part, we let them do their thing nowadays and aren’t actively commiting genocide on them. Police brutality on them may speak differently, but the majority of people who aren’t racist and/or rich already want the police gone because of their brutality.
As for the rest of the states, it’s a mixed bag due to bad eggs, but I’m fairly certain the official government stance is accepting of the fact we’ve treated both natives and African Americans bad. It’s why we learn about it. Tried looking it up, but was suspiciously finding a lot of content from Chinese embassies in America about how we need to come to terms with the Native American genocides and atrocities, from around the same time as the tribunal, maybe a month or two after people started reporting on it. Very suspicious timing on their part. Couldn’t find what I was looking for because I kept getting Chinese (.gov.cn) links over any official US links, which is very suspicious to me because it looks a lot like search result rigging in my eyes.
Edit:
Search result rigging, not search engine rigging.
Whelp, I know who to call traitors.tl the free world: anyone who takes the bait here. Not saying America is the better option currently, but definitely a lot better than the “There’s No Genocide In Xinjiang Despite An Independent Tribunal Saying There Is!” China team.
Took a minute and a refresh, but it worked on Ironfox on android.
Considering EA is known for making sports games clones of each other that only change the year in the title and people still buy it, I wouldn’t be shocked if nothing comes out of this.
The Star Wars Battlefront games. With how horribly the liver service EA version that came out in 2015 was and how dead it apparently is, the PS2 games are the only ones I’ll ever acknowledge as existing.
Also, one of my personal favorites that I’d consider a must have is Dokopon Kingdom. Yes the remake/remaster exists, but I don’t normally go for remasters in most situations. Gameplay is just roll a spinner, move on board, and adventure around the world while trying to do quests if you are in the story mode.
Both games have a lot of content and replayability in my eyes, which makes a game more of a must have for me.
Edit:
Hot Wheels: Beat That! Looked it up because I couldn’t remember the name, but that’s a racing game with a good amount of replayability and isn’t as short as something like Cartoon Network Racing. Didn’t realize it came out on various other consoles and PC, but can definitely recommend on at least PS2 (how I ended up playing it).
Was gonna ask what’s wrong with Systemd but decided to look it up and I now see why, at least from what I was reading.
Definitely depends on the site because I’ve seen some impressive modern looking sites in the past, but a lot of sites I find on there definitely encapsulate that vibe in a great way.
That’s me right now. Just recently sent an issue report to Proton over the fact I have not been able to connect to their servers on my Linux running laptop for almost a week at this point and have given up on trying to self-disgnose and fix it on my own using what little skills I have and whatever information I could find through web searches. The worst part is how it effortlessly works perfectly on my desktop running windows 10.
To be fair to at least ps2/x games, there would probably be nothing stopping them from taking something like one of the popular open source emulators, shutting them down, and then hiring anyone they can from the project to work on an official emulator on their end that allows you to play the games on PC in an official manner. Or at least if you purchase individual titles.
But like you said, probably not worth the time or money.
Speaking of somewhat related things, wasn’t there a Steam bug not that long ago that allowed you to essentially be able to “buy” delisted games?
Damn this is something I need to look into.
